South Street Seaport

South Street Seaport is a historic area, distinct from the neighboring Financial District. It features some of the oldest architecture in downtown Manhattan, and includes the largest concentration of restored early 19th-century commercial buildings in the city. This includes renovated original mercantile buildings, renovated sailing ships, the former Fulton Fish Market, and modern tourist malls featuring food, shopping and nightlife, with a gorgeous view of the Brooklyn Bridge. At the entrance to the Seaport is the Titanic Memorial lighthouse.

Long Island City Pier

Another breathtaking view of Manhattan right from the Long Island City Pier and Gantry Plaza State Park. It’s the perfect place to come on a nice spring/summer day and just admire the beauty of the city without being surrounded by the crowd and noise.

Take the 7 train and get off at Vernon Boulevard & Jackson Avenue stop. Walk west just a couple of blocks to Center Boulevard and you’ve made it.

Staten Island Ferry

This is probably one of the best things (and maybe the only one) you can get for FREE in New York City. Take the Staten Island Ferry at Battery Park and enjoy one of the most beautiful views of downtown Manhattan. You can also view Statue of Liberty without paying for the special ferry tour.

The ferry leaves every 30 mins, so no need to worry about the schedule.
